Results
The college caters primarily to the need of first generation learners. In spite of this, the result of the college is very satisfactory. ‘Assignments’ are circulated among the students well in advance of the University examinations. In 2007, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication topped the Calcutta University Examination.
Financial Aids
The college has a Concession Committee. On the recommendations of the committee, financial assistance in the form of concession on tuition fees is provided to the deserving students.
Awards and Prizes
The College awards prizes and certificates for academic and cultural distinctions as well as for excellence in sports activities. The Suprova Sarker Memorial prize (Gold medal) is awarded to the student who will secure highest marks in the Calcutta University B. A. Part III examination in Bengali (Honours) while the Keshab Lal Bhadra Memorial Prize adorns the student who will secure highest marks in Calcutta University B.Com Part III (Honours) examination.
