General Rules
(a) Students, irrespective of caste, creed and religion can study in the College. For admission to the college a student has to submit his/her relevant documents (they being Admit Cards of Madhyamik/Higher Secondary Examinations, and Marksheets of Madhyamik/Higher Secondary examinations) to the concerned dealing clerk in the office. He has to submit two passport-size photographs along with the relevant testimonials. Admission Forms and Prospectus can be obtained from the office.
(b) Students seeking admission from other colleges have to furnish relevant documents and a transfer certificate.
(c) It is mandatory on the part of the students to collect proper identity cards during their admission and also in the beginning of a new academic session.
(d) Students seeking admission from other colleges have to furnish relevant documents and a transfer certificate.
(e) The college adheres to the University laid down norms regarding admission.
(f) The college authority is the highest body to decide on the students' admission issue.
(g) A student will not be allowed to sit in the examination if his/her attendance in the class is below 60% of the total number of classes taken.
(h) Parents/Guardians are requested to meet either the Principal or the concerned Departmental Head at least once a month for a regular update on the performance and class attendance of their wards.
(i) Male students will not be allowed to sit on benches earmarked for female students.
Hours for submission of fees: Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday: 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Other Fees
Transfer Certificate Fees is Rs. 200/-. In case of loss of Library Card/Fees Book/Identity Card Rs. 50/- is charged as fine. If a student fails to submit bok to the College Library on the scheduled date he/she will have to pay 50 paisa as fine for each passing day beyond the scheduled date of submission. Tuition fees have to be submitted by the 15th of every month. If a student fails to submit his tuition fees within the 15th and pays it between the 16th and the last day of the month, he/she will be charged Re. 1/- as fine. If he fails to pay fees for the current month and pays it in the following month, he/she will be charged an additional amount of Re. 1/- as fine for each month. If a student decides to change a particular subject or even give it up, he/she will be charged Rs. 10/- for that.
Change of Institution
If a student decides to change the institution in the middle of an academic year, then he/she will have to clear all the dues to the institution before he/she contemplates any change. An appeal regarding change of institution must bear the signature of both the guardian and the ward. The final decision solely rests with the authority of the institution.
Medium of Communication
Lessons are imparted both in Bengali and English languages. Students can write their answers either in Bengali or in English while appearing in the examinations.
Attendance
It is mandatory for a student to attend each and every class. The following points have to be taken care of so far as attendance is concerned. A student cannot remain absent in ten classes of a particular subject at a stretch without properly intimating the college authority. If a student does not attend more than ten classes at a stretch of a particular subject without having properly intimated the college authority - his/her name will be liable to be withdrawn from the attenance book Rs. 10/- will be charged as fine for re-entry of name in the attendance book if the students' appeal is granted by the authority. Even after this if a student remains absent in 20 or more classes without having properly intimated the college authority, no further appeal by him/her will be considered. But the concerned student can appeal for a Transfer Certificate. All aplications regarding absence and Transfer Certificate must bear valid signature of the guardian concerned.

The College holds Weekly, Monthly Tests and Unit Test Examinations to assess the performance of its students. It is mandatory on the part of the students to sit in these examinations.
